Parent Resource Library
As many of you may have seen at back to school night or at the Health Fair, we've now got a Parent Resource Library started. With the help of Sara Mestjian, our school social worker, and PTO funds, we've now got some good books available to parents to check out on the bookshelf outside the library. The books cover a range of issues that families with elementary-aged students encounter. We will add to the collection, but right now we have:
- Raising Resilient Children: Fostering Strength, Hope and Optimism in Your Child
-
Understanding your Child's Puzzling Behavior: A Guide for Parents of Children with Behavioral, Social and Learning Challenges
-
Seven Steps to Help Your Child Worry Less
-
Setting Limits with your Strong-Willed Child
-
The Explosive Child: A New Approach to Understanding and Parenting Easily Frustrated, Chronically Inflexible Children
-
Bullyproof Your Child for Life: Protect Your Child From Teasing
-
Guiding Your Child Through Grief
-
What About the Kids? Understanding their Needs in the Funeral Planning Process
-
What is Cancer Anyway? Explaining Cancer to Children
-
The Parents' How-to Guide to Children's Mental Health Services in Massachusetts
We hope you will take advantage of this great resource.
